Fall is coming soon!
Spent the day yesterday finishing up some repairs to my gear. The latch on my trailer now works and I hope it will continue to function without the need of additional repairs. It seems I lost the wrench that fits the nuts that hold the latch. I don't know how something like this can keep on happening to me. I put shit down and it becomes invisible. I believe it is a conspiracy between all my stuff that I have neglected to use over the past 19 years. Now that I have the time (being retired) they want to get even with me for not using them as I should have.
I re-attached the Velcro that holds the cover on the trailers ice box. I took off the mounting brackets and used spray adhesive. The cover now stays on and helps to hold the ice box in place. I will be checking that out this week with a shopping spree using the Goldwing and trailer.
Also checked air pressure on Goldwing tires, tires last much longer when their owner keeps up his or her end of the deal.
Also worked on a picture frame for my map of this great country. I will be approximately 60 x 40 inches and show the different routes I have gone with my Goldwing. I might even put one to the Catskills I took on the Yamaha. Anyway I have it cut out, ripped and mitered and ready for glue. I have to setup a surface to put it on and need to make some tools to keep it square as the glue drys. Then to paint it before mounting the map on hardboard.
This week is the Delmarva Bike week on the Eastern Shore of Maryland. My brother and I are going to talk about what we want to do. He is on vacation again. Just have to ride to the ocean again this year. We are meeting at the movies this afternoon. Going to see the new Riddick movie with Vin Diesel.
